The Chance
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will provide generalist HR support across a broad range of people initiatives and employee lifecycle activities.
This role is available initially on a 10-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover)
Based in our modern corporate head office located in Bourke Street Melbourne, your role will involve:
Provide timely and accurate HR advice to managers, employees and project stakeholders on employment matters, policies, procedures, and best practice.
Support employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance cycle, promotions, and offboarding.
Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
Contribute to remuneration reviews, workforce planning, reward and recognition and talent management initiatives.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years HR Generalist experience.
- Experience within the Construction Industry highly preferred.
Tertiary Education (Business /HR / Psychology etc.)and evidence of continued professional development.
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
Fluency with the standard MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Ability to manage large data sets to prepare routine and adhoc reports..
Conscientious with quality awareness and attention to detail
Hands-on, open and honest communication and working style.
Self aware with established collaboration and influence skills.
