Are you a motivated and adaptable Registered Nurse looking to broaden your clinical experience while maintaining flexibility in your work life? The Royal Melbourne Hospital's Nurse Resource Transition Pool (NRTP) is seeking enthusiastic nurses to join our dynamic workforce team.
The NRTP provides nursing support across a range of clinical areas within RMH. As a pool nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse teams and patient cohorts while developing a broad range of clinical skills and experience. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy variety, continuous learning, and making a meaningful contribution wherever they are needed most.
About The Royal Melbourne Hospital
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia's leading public health services and a major teaching hospital within Melbourne's renowned Parkville Precinct. We provide comprehensive specialist medical, surgical, rehabilitation, aged care, mental health, community and outpatient services to Victorians.

About You
You are a professional and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a changing environment and is committed to providing safe, high-quality care.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in an acute hospital setting within the last two years
- Availability to work a rotating roster across morning,
afternoon and night shifts
- Availability to work across both the acute campus (Parkville) and the subacute campus (Royal Park)
- Strong assessment skills, clinical reasoning, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and delivering Safe, Timely, Equitable and Person-centred (STEP) care
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- High levels of flexibility, reliability and professionalism
- Experience working across multiple clinical specialties (desirable)
Your New Role
As a Registered Nurse within the Nurse Resource Transition Pool, you will:
- Provide secure, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care across a variety of RMH clinical settings
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
- Build your skills and confidence across acute and subacute services
- Work in areas including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, aged care and other inpatient specialties as required
- Receive support and orientation to facilitate success across different clinical environments
- Be allocated shifts by the Nursing Workforce Unit based on service requirements and your skills and experience
