Part-Time Food & Beverage Attendant - Lanson Place Parliament Gardens

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our amazing F&B; team in a part-time position.

As a member of our F&B; team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Chronicle 502 restaurant & bar, Albert Lounge buffet breakfast and in room dining experience. You'll be part of an energetic, dynamic team dedicated to the success of Lanson Place Melbourne. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our hotel, and you’ll work collaboratively with the entire team to bring our brand vision to life.

Main responsibilities :

Deliver exceptional food and beverage service across all outlets, including In-Room Dining, ensuring an outstanding guest experience at all times.

Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere by greeting, seating, and engaging guests in a warm, professional, and attentive manner.

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the food menu, wine list, beverage selection, and daily specials to confidently answer guest enquiries and provide appropriate food and wine recommendations.

Prepare high-quality espresso coffee and café beverages efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards during busy service periods.

Prepare classic and signature cocktails, operate the bar efficiently, and serve food and beverages promptly with personalised and professional service.

Accurately take food and beverage orders and process them through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system in a timely manner.

Respond to guest enquiries via phone and in person, manage restaurant reservations, and handle guest requests and concerns professionally.

Proactively anticipate guests' needs, assisting with special occasions and accommodating dietary requirements with attentiveness and care.

Set and prepare tables for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events, ensuring all hotel standards and service specifications are met.

Maintain the cleanliness,



presentation, and organisation of all dining, bar, and service areas in accordance with hotel standards.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen, Front Office, and fellow Food & Beverage team members to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash and credit card transactions.

Attend all required training programs, including RSA, induction, food handling, and food safety training.

Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and hotel standards.

Key Requirements:

Strong barista skills with the ability to produce high-quality espresso coffee in a fast-paced environment is required.

Previous cocktail and bar experience is highly regarded.

Sound wine knowledge, including grape varieties, wine regions, and food pairing principles. WSET certification or equivalent is highly regarded.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with a diverse range of guests.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.

Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work efficiently during busy service periods.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive working relationships across departments.

A positive attitude, qualified presentation, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

Valid working rights in Australia.

Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
