TMJ Centre Melbourne is a modern dental practice dedicated to the assessment and management of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), jaw pain, facial pain, headaches, oral appliances and dental sleep medicine. We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly, patient-focused team in a permanent four-day position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a calm, organised environment and would like to expand their skills in a unique area of dentistry. Previous experience in TMD is not required—we will provide comprehensive training.

About the role
As an important member of our clinical team, you'll help ensure each patient's appointment runs smoothly while providing exceptional chairside support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairside assisting, surgery preparation and sterilisation
- Clinical note-taking
- Coordinating patient flow and supporting patients throughout their appointments
- Organising laboratory cases, stock and general clinical systems
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced Dental Assistant
- Friendly, reliable and professional
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail
- A confident communicator with excellent spoken and written English
- Comfortable using computers and learning digital workflows
- Proactive and enjoys working as part of a small team
- Looking for a reliable, long-term position where they can continue to grow professionally
Hours
The position is predominantly Monday to Thursday with clinic opening hours as below.
- Monday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Tuesday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Wednesday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Thursday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Salary
Open to discussion depending on experience and capability.
