Despatch Coordinator | Steel Manufacturing | Sunshine | $40-$45/hr | Start ASAP

Zoom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Despatch Coordinator to join a busy steel manufacturing operation based in Sunshine. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport, logistics, or manufacturing professional looking for an immediate start.

The Role

Working within a rapid-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for coordinating daily despatch operations, ensuring deliveries run smoothly and customers receive excellent service.

Pay Rate: $40-$45 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm (occasional Saturdays may be required )
Duration: Minimum 2-3 months, with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate communication between customers and drivers regarding deliveries
- Manage delivery dates and loads using system tools (JDE and NetworX)
- Record delivery times and distances in JDE




- Prepare delivery paperwork and scan PODs into the system
- Support other Despatch Coordinators with daily operations

About You:

- Previous despatch experience required
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities and demanding customers
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability with a results-focused mindset
- Resilient and able to manage pressure effectively
- Knowledge of load restraint guidelines preferred
- Construction industry experience highly regarded

Requirements:

- Must be available for an immediate start
- Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol test
- Must successfully complete a fitness assessment
