The business operates premier training stables in Ballarat (Miners Rest), Cranbourne, Pakenham, Fingal, Warwick Farm, Bobs Farm, and Bong Bong, and is committed to achieving excellence in racing performance and horse welfare.

Key Responsibilities

- Train and exercise thoroughbred racehorses through daily trackwork, pace work, timed gallops and barrier practice to improve racing performance.
- Assess each horse’s fitness, behaviour and performance, and prepare suitable training programs to buildspeed, stamina and race fitness.
- Monitor horses for signs of injury, illness or fatigue, and arrange treatment with veterinarians and farrierswhen required.
- Feed, groom,



saddle and care for horses to maintain their health, wellbeing and overall condition.
- Prepare horses for race meetings, including strapping, transport and post-race care.
- Maintain accurate records of horse training, health and performance and comply with racing rules,workplace safety and animal welfare requirements.
- Inspect and maintain saddles, bridles and other training equipment to ensure they are safe and suitable for use.
- Assist in educating and handling young or new horses to develop good behaviour and prepare them forracing.

Skill & Experience

Applicants must hold a relevant qualification and have at least two years of full-time experience in a similar role, with the ability to perform all required duties.
