We are looking for an Apprentice Chef to join our busy team. Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply.

Our kitchen works at a rapid pace and work schedules will include weekends, so please note that shifts will have to include some weekend work.

You will need to be passionate about food, career driven and a team player. We focus on serving great food, and providing a positive customer experienced

Training for an apprentice cook covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment and kitchen procedures.

You will need to be able to get to and from work, there is a bus service to the café.

Your main duties include but not limited to:

- Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.
- Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation.




- Working under the supervision of the chef.
- Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves.
- Serves food when required.
- Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation.
- Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have a passion for the food industry.
- Be punctual & reliable.
- Have flexibility to work different shifts.
- Be well presented.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
