Experienced Disability Support Workers – Redland Bay

Are you a reliable and experienced Disability Support Worker who can remain calm, confident and professional in complex support environments?

Your Home Care is seeking capable and committed Disability Support Workers to join an established participant support team in the Redland Bay area.

This opportunity would suit people who are experienced in supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours. We are looking for Support Workers who understand that consistency, patience, clear professional boundaries and dependable attendance are essential to providing safe, high-quality support.

About the role

You will provide person-centred support that promotes participant safety, dignity, independence, choice and control.

Responsibilities may include:

- Providing individualised assistance with daily living activities and personal care

- Supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours

- Applying positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies

- Supporting meaningful activities and community participation

- Following Individual Support Plans, behaviour support strategies and risk-management requirements

- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in participant presentation

- Completing accurate and detailed shift notes, incident reports and other required documentation

- Communicating professionally with colleagues, coordinators, guardians and other stakeholders

- Maintaining consistent routines and providing reliable continuity of support

About you

We are looking for Support Workers who:

- Have demonstrated experience supporting NDIS participants with complex needs or behaviours

- Are calm, observant and confident when responding to challenging situations

- Are reliable, punctual and committed to their agreed roster

- Can follow structured support plans and established routines consistently

- Demonstrate sound judgement while remaining within the responsibilities of their role





- Communicate respectfully and work collaboratively as part of a participant-centred team

- Maintain professional boundaries and participant confidentiality

- Complete clear, accurate and timely documentation

- Are receptive to coaching, training and ongoing professional development

Training and Support

Applicants must be willing and able to participate in all mandatory and participant-specific training.

Essential requirements

Successful applicants must have, or be willing to obtain where appropriate:

- Relevant qualifications in disability, individual support, community services or a related field is essential.

- A current NDIS Worker Screening clearance

- A current First Aid and CPR certificate

- A valid Australian driver’s licence

- Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle

- The right to work in Australia

- Relevant disability support experience

- The capacity to meet the inherent requirements of the position

- Availability to work the required roster, which may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers
