Medical Receptionist - Colac Vision Radiology

Full-Time | 38 hours/week | Monday to Friday | Training Provided

Colac Vision Radiology is seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a full time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare environment and providing exceptional service to patients.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they walk through our door or call our practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Managing appointment bookings, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Processing patient billing, Medicare claims, and private health fund transactions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality of information
- Liaising with radiographers, radiologists, and referring doctors
- General administrative duties including filing, data entry,



and correspondence
- Ensuring the reception and waiting areas are tidy and presentable

What We're Looking For

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, patient, and professional manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Basic computer literacy (training provided on practice-specific software)
- Previous reception, customer service, or administration experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus, but not required
