Head / Lead Propagator - Andreasens Green Wholesale Nurseries

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

About the Role

As the Head / Lead Propagator, you will take ownership of propagation activities, ensuring that cuttings are produced on time, to the highest industry standards, and within budget. You will oversee a skilled team, mentor trainees and apprentices, and play a key role in shaping the next generation of nursery leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff to achieve targets.
- Conduct annual competency testing and oversee training.
- Manage performance, attendance, and workplace behaviours.

Propagation & Site Operations

- Deliver cutting schedules on time and to specification.
- Maintain optimal plant health across all propagated stock.
- Oversee nursery facilities including irrigation, heating, and Priva systems.
- Ensure materials (cuttings, plugs,



chemicals, tools) are available and maintained.

About You

- Certificate III in Horticulture (or trade equivalent).
- ChemCert AQF 3 & 4 and current First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in plant propagation and nursery operations.
- Robust leadership and mentoring skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work proactively and start early to prepare for team operations.
