Hart Automation delivers skilled audio-visual services to education, private and government sectors across Australia. We are currently expanding our technical services team in Melbourne and are seeking two casual technicians to provide onsite AV support at major university campuses.

This role is service-focused rather than installation-based. You will be responsible for maintaining system functionality, responding to technical issues, and ensuring teaching spaces remain fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide onsite AV technical support across lecture theatres, classrooms and meeting spaces
- Work collaboratively with university IT departments to diagnose and resolve system faults
- Troubleshoot control systems, displays, projectors, audio systems and conferencing equipment
- Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance
- Log service activities and provide clear documentation of issues and resolutions
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with academic and IT staff
- Escalate complex technical issues where required

About You

- Experience in AV support,



IT support or technical troubleshooting (education sector experience highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Confident working independently in a client-facing environment
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts consistently
- Availability to work afternoon/evening shifts from 2pm to 9pm is essential
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Full working rights in Australia
