An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Dental Assistant to join the team at Southern Smiles Dental in our Leongatha Clinic (experience not essential but preferred). As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dedicated dentists and providing exceptional patient care. This is a fantastic prospect to develop your skills in a friendly and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment
- Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
- Providing excellent patient care and customer service
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensuring the dental practice is clean, organised and well-stocked
- Undertaking administrative tasks as required





What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (not essential) or in a similar healthcare role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, dentists and the wider team
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilisation
- Proficient in using dental equipment and technologies
- A caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
