TerryWhite Chemmart Prahran is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispensary Technician specialising in Webster Packing to join our team on a part-time basis with felxible hours and days . This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that our patients receive accurately prepared, organised and labelled medications in a timely manner. Based at our Prahran VIC 3181 location, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care and supporting the smooth functioning of our dispensary.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and packing medications into Webster packs according to patient prescriptions and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmaceutical standards
Labelling Webster packs with all required information including patient name, medication name, dosage, and administration instructions
Verifying medication quantities and expiry dates prior to packing to maintain the highest safety standards
Organising and managing inventory of medications, supplies and Webster packing materials
Maintaining meticulous records of all packed medications and associated documentation
Communicating effectively with pharmacists, patients and healthcare providers regarding medication queries or clarifications
Adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations and pharmacy protocols, including infection control and workplace health and safety standards
Assisting with general dispensary duties as required to support the pharmacy team
What we're looking for
A relevant qualification as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in Webster packing and multi-compartment compliance aids preparation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and prevent medication errors
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and computer systems
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosages and administration methods
Professional communication skills and a patient-focused approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
