Casual Medical Receptionist – Blackbutt Medical Centre

Blackbutt Medical Centre is seeking a friendly, professional and reliable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our busy general practice team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a quick-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to patients and the wider community.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. Responsibilities include:

- Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and caring manner

- Managing appointments and telephone enquiries

- Processing patient registrations and updating records

- Handling billing, EFTPOS transactions and Medicare claims

- Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate documentation

- Supporting doctors, nurses and the wider practice team with administrative tasks

- General reception and office duties

About You

To be successful in this role,



you will have:

- Previous reception, administration or customer service experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment

- A professional and positive attitude

- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

- Previous medical reception experience and knowledge of Best Practice software will be highly regarded but is not essential
