MDS Accounting & Financial Services is a local Ballarat based accounting firm with offices located throughout Vic, Qld & NSW, who are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to complement our current team.

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive part-time Bookkeeper to join a team of professionals who pride themselves in quality in client service.
The Role
This position requires someone approachable, with initiative, exceptional levels of customer service and an eye for detail. You will be involved in helping our clients to reach their business and financial goals and objectives and will enjoy working in a team environment to assist in achieving these goals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- End-to-end bookkeeping support across a diverse SME client base
- Payroll processing, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and superannuation guarantee compliance
- Invoice and remittance management
- Bank reconciliation within Xero
- Management of email inboxes, ensuring prompt and professional client communication
- Assistance with the preparation and lodgment of IAS/BAS returns
The successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years' end-to-end experience in Bookkeeping
- Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, with Xero essential
- Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, BAS, GST and payroll compliance
- An eye for detail balanced with efficiency
- Ability to manage workflow and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
