About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Draftsperson to join our team in Heatherton, Victoria. This full-time role offers an excellent prospect to develop your skills and build practical experience in engineering drafting within a supportive and professional environment.

As a Trainee Draftsperson, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to assist in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation for a range of projects. You will gain hands‑on experience using industry‑standard drafting software while developing a strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and project requirements.

What you'll be doing

Assisting in the preparation and revision of engineering drawings and layouts

Supporting project teams with drafting and documentation requirements





Learning and applying relevant standards and specifications

Maintaining accurate drawing registers and project records

Collaborating with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy

What we’re looking for

Tertiary Drafting or Engineering Course, or a Basic / Introductory CAD Drafting course desirable.

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering documents

Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

A willingness to learn and develop technical skills

A positive attitude and strong work ethic
