Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Disability Support Workers in Complex & Neurodiverse Supports to join our growing team across the northern and western suburbs (Broadmeadows and Melton). You will provide one‑on‑one support to participants with complex needs, including n eurodiversity, non‑verbal communication, and high-level daily living requirements.

Participants may present with complex behaviours, require emotional regulation support, and need staff who can implement behaviour support strategies while maintaining a calm, consistent, and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide empathetic, respectful, and consistent one‑on‑one support aligned with participant goals

Support neurodiverse participants (ASD, ADHD,



intellectual disability) using structured and person‑centred approaches

Use Key Word Sign, visual supports, and other communication tools to engage non‑verbal participants

Support daily routines including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Assist with community access and promote safe participation in daily activities

Support emotional regulation and maintain a safe, calm, and structured environment

Follow and implement Behaviour Support Plans, strategies, and restrictive practice safeguards as required

Maintain explicit and timely documentation and incident reporting in line with NDIS requirements

Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and the broader support team

Promote independence, dignity and choice at all times

Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Foster a psychologically safe and culturally sensitive support environment

About You

You are calm under pressure, patient and committed to supporting individuals with complex and neurodiverse needs. You understand the importance of consistency, communication supports and positive behaviour approaches. You are reliable, emotionally regulated and confident supporting participants in complex or high‑risk settings.

Qualifications and Requirements

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or equivalent

Experience supporting neurodiverse and/or non‑verbal participants

Strong understanding of NDIS standards, duty of care, trauma informed care and compliance requirements

Knowledge of Key Word Sign or willingness to learn

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid & CPR

Valid Australian Driver's Licence, Comprehensive Insurance and reliable vehicle

Proof of Australian Working Rights
