About the role

Twenty20 Tapas Bar and Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our dynamic hospitality team in Moe, VIC. This is a full-time position where you will be the heart of our coffee operation, crafting exceptional beverages whilst delivering outstanding customer service to our guests. As a key member of our bar and beverage team, you will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for our patrons and maintaining the high standards that define Twenty20 Tapas Bar and Restaurant.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based coffee beverages with precision and consistency
- Taking customer orders efficiently whilst providing knowledgeable recommendations about our coffee and beverage offerings
- Managing the coffee area, ensuring cleanliness, organisation and stock levels are maintained throughout service
- Building positive relationships with regular customers and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Collaborating with other staff to ensure seamless service during peak and quiet periods
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately whilst following company procedures
- Contributing to the overall success of the team by supporting colleagues and maintaining a professional demeanour

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience as a barista in a busy café, restaurant or hospitality venue
- Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, extraction methods and milk frothing techniques




- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency in beverage quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting whilst maintaining composure during peak service
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
- Flexibility with rostered shifts, including weekend availability
- A passion for hospitality and a genuine interest in delivering exceptional experiences
- Preferred: Experience working in a cafe
