ARMDALE & BEDFORDALE

Our OSHC programs are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, passionate educator to join our team as a casual educator who is available to start immediately.

You will be working across our two Services which operate within Christian faith schools.

You will need to be available to work between 6.30 & 8.30 am & 2.45-6.00pm Monday to Friday during school term and longer hours during school holidays.

ABOUT THE ROLE

- You will be required to actively supervise primary school aged children and support them in the daily activities
- Engage in a fun, safe, and compliant program that includes facilitating planned activities, participating in games with children and other play-based experiences
- Help to create and nurture a positive environment for learning and enriching play-based educational experiences
- Prepare and serve healthy food options
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and the school community

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Contribute to the documentation of children's learning and development

WHAT YOU NEED

- **Driver's license and car (public transport is not available).**
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement
- Current Child protection certificate or willing to obtain before commencement
- Ability to pass a National Police Check.
- Current Working with Children card

DESIRABLE

- Prior experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- While we prefer candidates with a minimum of 6 months experience working with school-aged children, we are flexible and willing to consider applicants with less experience who demonstrate enthusiasm and potential for the role.

HOURS OF WORK

- BSC 6.30 - 8.30am
- ASC 2.45 - 6.00pm
- VAC various shifts between 6.30 am & 6.00pm
- Split shift allowance paid.
- We have been approved for the 10% workers retention grant.
