State Street is actively seeking a talented End to End Solution Architect to join our Alpha team in Sydney. This role is pivotal in advancing our Alpha Front to Back platform, which serves as a comprehensive solution for our clients. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in aligning client requirements with large-scale enterprise solutions. You will collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, including global business architects and product leaders, to devise and implement effective business strategies that meet client needs.

What you'll do

- Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions that meet their needs.
- Partner with global architects and product teams to ensure that the Alpha platform aligns with overarching business goals and client expectations.
- Design and develop comprehensive architectural solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of the Alpha platform.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to foster collaboration and gather insights for solution development.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the solution implementation process.
- Ensure that all architectural designs adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture or a closely related field, demonstrating a solid track record of successful project delivery.




- In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level solution design and implementation, particularly within the financial services sector.
- Strong familiarity with investment management processes and the unique challenges faced by clients in this industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with a diverse range of teams and clients.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- Proven ability to work in a quick-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud-based technologies and data management platforms, which can enhance the scalability and efficiency of solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices, contributing to more dynamic and responsive project execution.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to the financial services industry.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in architectural frameworks and design patterns, enabling the development of robust and scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, which are essential for developing and integrating solutions.
- Experience with database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL, to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Understanding of API design and integration, facilitating seamless communication between different systems and platforms.
- Solid analytical skills to assess complex problems and devise effective solutions.
