Facility Management Victoria Pty Ltd (FMV) is seeking an exceptional Residential Building Manager to lead the operations of one of Melbourne's premium residential apartment buildings.

This is far more than a traditional Building Manager role. You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the property, overseeing its operations, presentation, compliance, resident experience and onsite team. We are seeking an experienced, proactive leader who takes ownership, leads by example, takes pride in every aspect of the property, and is committed to delivering an exceptional standard of service while continually driving operational excellence.

About the Role

As Building Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of a premium residential apartment building, ensuring the property is maintained and operated to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the onsite concierge, security and cleaning teams.
- Leading by example while fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Managing contractor performance and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Building strong relationships with residents, the Owners Corporation Committee.
- Delivering an outstanding resident experience through visible, proactive leadership.
- Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance, presentation and cleaning issues before they arise.




- Managing essential services compliance, statutory obligations and risk management.
- Overseeing building assets, preventative maintenance programs and capital works projects.
- Managing operational budgets and obtaining quotations and tenders for building services.
- Preparing reports and recommendations for the Committee.
- Resolving resident enquiries and operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining exceptional presentation standards throughout the property.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Building Manager or Building Manager , ideally within a premium residential high-rise environment.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and creating an outstanding resident experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor and motivate high-performing teams.
- Experience managing premium residential high-rise buildings (preferred) or commercial properties.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
- A sound understanding of Owners Corporation operations and governance.
- Experience managing contractors, essential services compliance, maintenance programs and capital works.
- Robust financial and commercial acumen, including budget and contractor management.
- High-level computer literacy across Microsoft Office and building management software.
- A luxury hospitality mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
