About Sport and Recreation

The Sport and Recreation team promotes participation and achievement in sport and recreation to support a healthy lifestyle for all Western Australians through physical activity. It provides strategic leadership and support for the sport and active recreation sectors with a focus on inclusion and accessibility.

This work extends into regional areas where the team contributes to a broad range of community outcomes in partnership with state and local government agencies, regional sporting associations, peak bodies, and community clubs to support livable regional communities.

About the role

The Sport and Recreation division operates five recreational camps across Western Australia; Ern Halliday, Point Walter, Bickley, Woodman Point in the metropolitan area and Quaranup in Albany. These camps provide affordable, accessible and inclusive recreation opportunities that support physical activity, wellbeing and connection for schools and the wider community.

The Manager Recreation Camps leads and supports frontline teams and instructors, creating a culture of collaboration and improvement to enhance recreation camp operations. The role monitors, maintains and evaluates the effectiveness of programs, facilities and strategy and reports on outcomes to drive informed decision making and ongoing improvement.

This pool is for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacanciesthat arise from/over the next 12 months.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made as vacancies arise. Applicants appointed initially on a fixed term may be offered further extensions and/or permanent positions. Applicants found suitable for this recruitment pool may also be considered for 'similar' vacancies within CITS and the wider public sector which arise prior to the pool’s closing date.





We have four permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) positions.

Pre-employment conditions

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be an Australian citizen, have permanent resident status in Australia or have a visa that allows you to live and work in Australia for the period of your employment contract.
Successful applicants will be required to complete the below prior to commencement:

- A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
