Taree Aquatic Club, affectionately known as "The Sailos," is the Manning Valley's premier hospitality destination, ideally located on the picturesque banks of the Manning River in Taree. Our bar and dining facilities boast breathtaking 180-degree river views, extending downstream to Dumaresq Island and upstream to the iconic Martin Bridge.

True to our name, life at the Club revolves around the river. We proudly host sailing events, powerboat racing, and the spectacular New Year's Eve fireworks as part of the Manning River Festival. As part of our continued growth, and following the recent acquisition of our sister venue, Sporties Taree (formerly Taree Leagues Sports Club), we are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our team.

Working closely with our Venue Manager at Sporties Taree, you will play a key role in developing and delivering marketing initiatives, coordinating engaging events, and helping grow and connect with our thriving membership base of more than 7,000 members. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised marketing professional to make a meaningful impact across two well-established community clubs.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing function enquiries from first contact through to booking confirmation
- Conducting venue tours and converting enquiries into bookings
- Building function revenue across all venues
- Growing corporate events, birthdays, celebrations and weddings
- Creating and managing social media content
- Capturing content across our venues using your phone, camera or other tools
- Updating website content and event information




- Digital media content creation, management and growth
- Preparing the club’s annual report and distribution to members.
- Manage in-house advertising including visual displays and promotional collateral.
- Being present during major promotional nights / club events to publish live social media content.
- Working closely with our Venue Manager / Secretary Manager.
- Identifying new opportunities to drive venue traffic and revenue

- Hospitality experience is essential
- Experience in functions, events, marketing or hospitality management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A self-starter who doesn't need constant supervision
- Confident communicators who love working with people
- Comfortable creating content and managing social media
- Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Curious, adaptable and willing to embrace new technology and AI tools
- Someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and being around venues

Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills and a proactive approach to planning. You will be responsible for scheduling marketing campaigns and advertising well in advance, ensuring timely, accurate and engaging communication with our members across multiple channels.

This position is offered on a casual basis, with approximately 10–15 hours per week initially. As the role evolves, there is potential for additional hours and the opportunity to progress into a more permanent position. We offer flexibility in working hours, making this an excellent prospect for someone seeking a role that can accommodate school hours or other commitments.
