Kryal Castle is Australia’s only medieval adventure park and accommodation venue, offering a unique blend of history, entertainment, education, hospitality and immersive visitor experiences. Located in Ballarat, Victoria, the Castle welcomes thousands of visitors each year and continues to evolve as a leading tourism destination.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Executive to join our Management Team and play a key role in driving the commercial performance, operational excellence and future growth of Kryal Castle.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Executive is responsible for leading the commercial performance and guest experience across Kryal Castle’s key revenue-generating areas, including Food & Beverage, Retail, Events, Ticketing and Commercial Partnerships.

You will provide leadership and direction across multiple departments, identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability, enhance the visitor experience, and contribute to the ongoing strategic development of the Castle.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support Food & Beverage, Retail, Ticketing, Functions and Events operations.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability and commercial performance across guest-facing departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer spend, product performance and operational efficiency.
- Oversee retail operations, merchandise strategy, stock optimisation and supplier relationships.
- Manage ticketing systems, pricing strategies, packages and commercial reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers and commercial partners.
- Support the delivery of events,



partnerships and new revenue opportunities.
- Work closely with the CEO and Management Team on strategic initiatives and business improvement projects.
- Champion exceptional guest experiences and a culture of high performance.

About You

You are an experienced commercial leader with a solid background in hospitality, tourism, attractions, entertainment, venues or similar customer-focused environments.

You will bring:

- Proven experience leading multi-department operations and diverse teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience improving revenue and profitability.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting and performance reporting.
- A track record of developing successful products, partnerships or revenue opportunities.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations.
- Experience within tourism, visitor attractions, resorts, entertainment venues or theme parks will be highly regarded.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior hospitality, venue, tourism, attraction or events leadership role.
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to Kryal Castle.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays and evenings as required.
