They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function and provide strategic financial leadership as the business continues to expand.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who understands the fast-paced nature of the construction industry and enjoys partnering with operational teams to drive business performance.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and valuable commercial insights that support project profitability and business growth.
Working closely with project managers and senior leadership, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, project costing, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and performance analysis.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Monitor project budgets, job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability.
Partner with project managers to provide financial insights and commercial support.
Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory obligations,
and financial reporting requirements.
Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external accountants and advisors.
Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, and internal controls.
Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
About You
You are a qualified finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with operational teams.
You'll bring:
CPA or CA qualification.
Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant within the construction, civil, engineering, or related industry.
Strong understanding of project accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and cash flow management.
Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills.
Experience using construction accounting or ERP systems (such as Jobpac, Viewpoint, MYOB Advanced, Xero, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
