We're looking for a Health & Safety Manager who is passionate about process safety, operational learning and human performance. Someone who is curious about how work is actually done, how organizations learn from operational experience, and how strong systems, effective controls and capable people come together to deliver safe and reliable outcomes.

Working across corporate, manufacturing, pilot plant and technology development environments, you'll partner with business leaders, engineers, operators, operational leaders and technical specialists to strengthen operational and enterprise risk management, process safety, critical controls and operational capability. You'll help translate learning into action, support continuous improvement and contribute to safe, reliable operations in a business where innovation and industrial performance go hand in hand.

What you'll do

You'll lead the ongoing development and continuous improvement of our Health & Safety approach across manufacturing, pilot plant and technology development operations.

You will:

Lead and continuously improve our Health & Safety Management System.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, licences, permits and regulatory obligations.

Drive process safety programs, critical control management and risk management activities.

Facilitate risk assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie and LOPA methodologies.

Support leaders and operational teams to strengthen risk ownership and decision-making capability.

Lead incident learning, assurance, audit and verification programs.

Champion a Safety-II and Safety Differently approach to improve traditional safety methodologies and that focuses on understanding how work succeeds, learning from everyday operations and building organizational resilience.





Coach leaders and build a positive, psychologically safe and learning-oriented culture.

In short, you will lead HSE and Risk and achieve results through the business and operating teams.

About you

You're an experienced Health & Safety leader who combines strong technical capability with curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to influence others.

You might come from manufacturing, chemical processing, energy, resources or another high-hazard environment. What matters most is that you're passionate about process safety, risk management and helping organizations continuously improve.

You’ll bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in health and safety, engineering or a related technical discipline.

Robust process safety, risk management and critical controls experience.

Experience developing and improving health and safety management systems.

The ability to influence, coach and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.

Strong facilitation and communication skills.

A passion for learning, improvement and helping teams succeed.

An interest in Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), Safety-II principles or contemporary approaches to organizational learning.
