Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to play a key role in shaping, designing, and delivering innovative digital products. You will be guiding initiatives from proof of concept through to production, driving engineering best practice, and ensuring reliable, scalable solutions.

Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to play a key role in shaping, designing, and delivering innovative digital products. You will be guiding initiatives from proof of concept through to production, driving engineering best practice, and ensuring reliable, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical design, architecture and delivery of customer‑facing digital products.




- Remain hands‑on across solution design, software engineering and code reviews.
- Design scalable cloud‑native solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Drive Agile delivery including backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and technical roadmaps.
- Lead proof‑of‑concepts, technical experimentation and innovation initiatives.
- Champion responsible adoption of AI‑assisted software development and identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into products.

Skills Required

- Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Principal Engineer or Senior Software Engineer within enterprise environments.
- Robust hands‑on development experience using TypeScript, Node.js and React.
- Strong AWS cloud engineering experience including:
- Serverless technologies
- Containers
- Microservices
- REST APIs
- Infrastructure as Code

- Strong DevOps capability including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Exposure to delivering AI‑enabled product capabilities will be highly regarded.
