About the Role

The Arts, Heritage and Libraries Branch enrich the lives of residents and visitors through the delivery of library services, creative programs, cultural initiatives and heritage activities. With a strong focus on community connection, innovation and lifelong learning, the branch plays an important role in shaping vibrant, inclusive and engaged communities across the Sunshine Coast.

As Project Officer (Library Services), you will support the delivery of strategic library projects, service improvements and innovative initiatives that respond to current and emerging community needs. Working closely with stakeholders across Council and the community, you will conduct research, analyse data, coordinate projects and help develop solutions that improve operational effectiveness and enhance customer experiences across Sunshine Coast Libraries.





Key Responsibilities

Coordinate library projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.

Research, analyse and prepare project documentation and reports.

Support service improvement initiatives and business development activities.

Engage with stakeholders to deliver creative library services and projects.

About you

As an organised project professional, you bring robust project management, planning and coordination skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.

You are a curious and analytical thinker with the ability to investigate issues, interpret data and develop practical, customer-focused solutions that make a meaningful difference.

Your communication and relationship-building skills are a standout strength. You confidently engage with diverse stakeholders, build collaboration and contribute positively to team and organisational goals.

You have qualifications in Libraries, Business, Cultural or Community Development, Social Science, or equivalent relevant experience, along with strong business writing and digital technology skills. Qualifications in project management will be highly regarded.
