Marsh McLennan is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to enhance our Technology team.

What you'll do

- Lead the development and execution of the technical product strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence across a variety of applications.
- Work in close partnership with business product leaders, analysts, developers, architects, and teams focused on risk and security to facilitate secure and effective product delivery.
- Analyze market trends and user feedback to inform product enhancements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and prioritize product features and requirements, ensuring they meet both customer needs and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product roadmaps and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of product milestones.
- Monitor product performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure effective team collaboration and project management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and support to both internal teams and external partners.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and deployment, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new technologies.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts, ensuring alignment with user expectations.

Requirements





- At least 5 years of experience in a product ownership or management capacity, with a strong focus on technical products.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex product lifecycles.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum practices.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in working with operations applications and understanding security protocols is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with product management and project management software tools.
- Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and practices.
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is advantageous.
- Previous experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms.
- Understanding of data analytics and its application in product development.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in Agile methodologies and related tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar project management software.
- Familiarity with product management tools like Aha!, Productboard, or similar platforms.
- Experience with operations applications and knowledge of security protocols to ensure product integrity.
