The Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified A-Grade Electrician to join our maintenance team to assist with day-to-day repairs at our busy RMIT Bundoora and City campuses.
The role consists of day-to-day repairs from lighting/power issues to mechanical issues such as control issues within mechanical distribution boards.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence and White Card.
Experience in the service, installation, testing and repair of general electrical equipment, including lighting, power circuits, exit signs and emergency lighting systems.
Demonstrated experience in lighting control systems , particularly Dynalite and Clipsal C-Bus , including fault finding, programming adjustments and maintenance.
Experience working with Legrand Axiom emergency lighting monitoring systems , including testing, reporting, fault diagnosis and rectification.
Strong ability to navigate, interpret and troubleshoot electrical installations, schematics and electromechanical control panels.
Diverse experience across commercial and/or institutional electrical environments. Exposure to refrigeration and HVAC systems will be highly regarded.
Experience performing electrical switchboard retrofits, upgrades and new installations.
Ability to undertake switchboard condition assessments and complete associated reports and certifications.
Sound computer literacy and experience using digital maintenance management systems.
Strong understanding of HSE requirements, safe work practices and continuous improvement processes.
Professional presentation and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working at Heights ticket and EWP Licence.
Ability to travel between Melbourne CBD and Bundoora campuses as required.
