The Role

This newly created Finance Manager role presents a rare opportunity to take ownership of the Australian finance function and play a key role in our continued growth journey.

Reporting to the global finance team, you'll lead all day-to-day finance activities across Australia in a broad and hands‑on role that extends well beyond traditional finance responsibilities. You will also provide commercial insight, financial leadership, and decision support to help drive growth, operational performance, and long-term business objectives throughout the region.

As our Australian operations continue to expand, you'll have the opportunity to shape the finance function, implement best‑practice processes, and establish a strong foundation for future growth. Beyond maintaining strong controls and compliance, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial planning and analysis, scenario modelling, and performance improvement initiatives.





Initially operating as a standalone Finance Manager, you'll be well positioned to build and lead your own team as the business grows, creating genuine long-term career opportunities. This role requires a proactive leader who can influence stakeholders, champion change, and help develop the finance capability needed to support future regional growth.

As part of a US‑headquartered organisation, you'll collaborate with international stakeholders and have the opportunity for occasional domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will bring a global mindset, experience working within multinational environments, and the ability to balance local operational requirements with broader regional and global business objectives. You will work closely with international finance and operational leaders to drive consistency, scalability, and alignment across the organisation.

We understand the importance of flexibility and offer work-from-home arrangements where appropriate. However, as a growing and highly collaborative business, a regular on‑site presence in Wangaratta is important to building relationships, supporting operations, and contributing to the ongoing success of the Australian business.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy of financial, tax, and employee‑related records. Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational, project, and executive leaders, providing financial insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making.

Oversee accounts payable activities and related controls, ensuring efficient processes, appropriate governance, and scalability as the business grows.

Oversee accounts receivable processes, supporting billing, collections, and cash flow management.

Support GST compliance and reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of BAS.

Manage payroll tax obligations and ensure compliance with relevant state and federal requirements.

Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate financial policies. Continuously evaluate and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes to support a growing multinational business.

Prepare month‑end financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and support internal and external audit processes. Provide insightful analysis of financial results, key performance indicators, business trends, and operational performance drivers.

Collaborate with the global finance team on group reporting, intercompany transactions, and financial activities, applying prior experience with US GAAP reporting requirements within a multinational environment.





Prepare and review US GAAP to local GAAP reporting reconciliations, ensuring alignment between local accounting standards, tax standards and global reporting requirements.

Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and broader financial planning activities. Lead the annual budget process, rolling forecasts, long‑range financial planning, scenario modelling, and strategic financial analysis to support growth and investment decisions.

Act as the primary local finance contact for suppliers, auditors, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.

Provide proactive financial leadership and recommendations to support business growth, profitability improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives across Australia and the broader region.

Influence key stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies, balancing local business requirements with regional and global objectives.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar finance or accounting roles.

Strong hands‑on experience across finance functions, including revenue & cost recognition, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and statutory reporting requirements

Demonstrated experience working within multinational organizations, partnering with global stakeholders, and supporting cross‑border finance operations. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS reporting requirements is highly desirable.

Sound understanding of Australian tax, GST, BAS, payroll tax, and compliance obligations.

A proven ability to build, lead and develop a team is desired

Experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Demonstrated ability to operate independently while influencing across a matrix organization and collaborating effectively with geographically dispersed teams.

Experience supporting project‑based operations, long‑term contracts, capital‑intensive environments, or infrastructure‑related businesses will be highly regarded.

Flexible working arrangements supported in combination with on‑site presence

CPA qualified or working towards CPA qualification is preferred but not essential.
