About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Engineer with 3-5 years of product development experience to support the design, development, and delivery of high-performance embedded hardware systems for integrated electromechanical products.
This role sits at the critical intersection of prototype and production, contributing to real-world products across the full lifecycle from concept and schematic capture through to validation and release into manufacture.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware/software, and manufacturing, integrating motor drives, sensors, actuators and communication interfaces into finished products.
Key Responsibilities
Design and integrate electronics for electromechanical systems including motor control, sensor interfaces, communication networks and embedded controllers.
Support system integration, debugging and verification across electronics, firmware and mechanical subsystems.
Contribute to design decisions balancing electrical performance, thermal management, EMC, manufacturability, reliability and serviceability.
Contribute across the full product development lifecycle (PDLC): requirements, concepts, design, review, prototyping, verification, validation and production.
Design and develop electronic circuits and PCB layouts (schematic capture through to board bring-up). Perform bench testing, debugging, verification and validation using appropriate lab equipment.
Apply design-for-manufacture (DFM), test (DFT), and reliability principles
Participate / lead design reviews and develop & maintain technical documentation.
Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in electronics or embedded hardware engineering for finished commercial, medical technology (med-tech) or industrial products.
Experience with power electronics, motor drive systems or motion-control electronics, including power conversion and motor control.
Experience integrating sensors, actuators and embedded hardware into complete electromechanical products.
Familiarity with EMC/EMI, compliance, and reliability
Strong experience in schematic design and PCB layout (preferably using Altium or similar tools)
Experience with high-speed or communication interfaces (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB)
Solid foundation in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and validation
Experience contributing to the development of finished commercial products through prototype, verification and production release.
Experience integrating hardware with embedded firmware, motor controllers and communication interfaces during system bring-up and debugging.
Strong collaboration and documentation skills (including V&V; reports, Work Instructions and so on)
Desired (Nice to Have) Experience
Experience developing robotics, industrial automation,
medical devices, aerospace, automotive, drones, AGVs or other motion-control products would be highly regarded.
Experience designing electronics for compact or space-constrained products, considering thermal management, EMI/EMC and serviceability.
Experience with industrial communication networks (e.g. CAN, EtherCAT or Industrial Ethernet) is advantageous.
Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and DFT practices
Exposure to manufacturing, production support, or field testing
Basic programming skills (C/C++/Python)
