Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for providing effective monitoring, control, forecasting, and reporting of project costs to ensure the project is delivered within approved budgets. The role supports project and commercial teams by providing accurate, timely cost information, identifying cost, risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and contractual requirements

As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

- Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial and Finance teams to provide cost insights and financial guidance.
- Prepare and maintain project cost reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for project and senior management.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor project cost control systems in line with approved budgets and cost codes.
- Monitor commitments including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and variations.
- Ensure variations and change events are captured, costed, approved, and reflected in forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, project controls procedures, and delegated authorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes, systems, and reporting standards.

What do you bring?

- Minimum 5 years + demonstrated experience as a Project Cost Controller or Project Accountant in civil construction, ideally on infrastructure projects
- Nationally Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in, Finance, Business, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Prepare, revise,



and communicate cost control procedures as necessary to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting of real time costs.
- Cost control, forecasting and analysis against project KPIs
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
- Ability and willingness to work on site in remote locations around Australia and/or PNG; travelling to remote projects, 2 weeks at head quarters and 2 weeks on site
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office & SharePoint; Word, PowerPoint
- Valid Australian drivers licence and white card
