We are seeking an experienced and driven Farm Manager to lead the day-to-day management and ongoing development of our almond orchard operations around the Griffith region.

Reporting to senior management, the Farm Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of almond orchard operations, including crop management, irrigation, team leadership, maintenance and harvest preparation.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with practical, on-the-ground involvement to ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage day-to-day almond orchard operations.
- Develop and implement seasonal farming programs to maximise yield, quality and efficiency.
- Manage irrigation systems, water scheduling and resource utilisation.
- Oversee orchard health, including pest and disease management, nutrition programs and crop monitoring.




- Plan and coordinate seasonal activities including pruning, spraying, fertilising, mowing and harvest preparation.
- Lead, mentor and develop farm employees and contractors.
- Manage machinery, equipment and infrastructure maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, environmental and operational requirements.
- Monitor budgets, labour requirements and operational costs.
- Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced agricultural leader who is passionate about farming and has demonstrated experience managing large-scale orchard operations.

You will ideally have:

- Proven experience managing almond, horticulture or similar intensive agricultural operations.
- Strong knowledge of orchard production systems and seasonal requirements.
- Experience managing irrigation systems and water efficiency practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with modern agricultural technology, data management systems and farm planning tools.
