House Leader – Disability Services (ACT)
Support Complex Clients | Mental Health & Behavioural Support | Full-Time
We are a registered NDIS Company looking for an experienced House Leader to join our Disability Services team in the ACT, supporting clients with complex needs including mental health and behavioural support requirements.
As House Leader, you'll be the critical point of contact for the support workers - leading a team of Disability Support Workers, delivering on care plans, safety plans and positive behaviour support plans, and keeping the homes running safely and smoothly day to day.
What you'll do:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with clients' care and behaviour support plans
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Disability Support Workers
- Manage incident reporting, SIL reports and client documentation
- Maintain a safe, well-run home workplace and ensure WHS compliance
- Support clients with medications,
community access and daily living needs
- Participate in the After Hours On-Call roster as required
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a House Leader / House Coordinator role within residential disability or youth services
- Strong people leadership and supervision experience
- Confidence in de-escalation and supporting clients with complex behavioural/mental health needs
- Current WWCC, police check, First Aid certificate and driver's licence
- Certificate IV in Disability, Youth Work, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Mental Health First Aid certification highly regarded
