Reporting to the Manager Transport Projects, the Transport Program Delivery Coordinator (Coordinator Project Delivery - Transport) is responsible for leading the delivery of Council's Capital Works Program for Transport. The role oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of transport infrastructure projects, while also supporting projects across areas including Waste, Recreation and Natural Systems.
This leadership position is responsible for managing project delivery to achieve agreed timeframes, budgets and quality outcomes. It provides strategic oversight of program planning, stakeholder engagement, resource management and continuous improvement, while leading a team committed to delivering safe, effective and sustainable infrastructure outcomes for the community.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Transport Projects, the Transport Program Delivery Coordinator (Coordinator Project Delivery - Transport) is responsible for leading the delivery of Council's Capital Works Program for Transport. The role oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of transport infrastructure projects, while also supporting projects across areas including Waste, Recreation and Natural Systems.

It provides strategic oversight of program planning, stakeholder engagement, resource management and continuous improvement, while leading a team committed to delivering safe, effective and sustainable infrastructure outcomes for the community.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop the Transport Projects team, fostering a cooperative, high-performing culture.
- Manage the delivery of Council's Capital Works Program, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
- Oversee program planning, monitoring and reporting for Council and external funding bodies.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and external agencies.
- Coordinate the planning and development of future projects to ensure they are ready for delivery.
- Oversee the Roads Maintenance Council Contract for Transport for NSW.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management, procurement systems and processes.
- Contribute to operational planning and organisational objectives.
- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, incident investigations, WHS audits and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Deliver high-quality customer service while modelling Council's organisational values of Team, Safety, Integrity, Respect and Sustainability.
Salary: Commencing salary circa $136,800 - $150,500p.a. plus superannuation. (dependent on skills and experience)
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
