About the role

Optus is seeking a Security Platform Engineer specializing in Secrets Management. This position is integral to the management and improvement of our enterprise secrets management and tokenization platform. The engineer will play a key role in minimizing security vulnerabilities by removing hardcoded credentials and facilitating secure access to secrets through automation.

What you'll do

- Operate and enhance the secrets management and tokenization platform.
- Implement solutions to eliminate hardcoded credentials and improve secure access to sensitive information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in security are maintained.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents related to secrets management.

Requirements

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security engineering role.
- Proficiency in managing secrets management tools and tokenization technologies.
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices,



particularly in the context of cloud environments.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.

Nice to have

- Experience with DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Skills & tools
