LMF Security Group is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join our team in Melbourne. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing essential security services to our valued clients. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for protecting people, property and assets across various venues and locations throughout Melbourne. This role is fundamental to maintaining safety and security standards and plays a vital part in our commitment to delivering exceptional security services.

Successful applicants will possess excellent communication skills, consistently maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Applicants will require full scheduling flexibility and must be available to work rotating rosters that encompass night shifts, weekends and public holidays. To recognise this commitment, all hours worked during these periods will be remunerated in accordance with applicable award penalty rates.

Key responsibilites:

- Event Security: Provide a visible, proactive security presence at events to ensure the safety and security of patrons and event staff.
- Access Control: Monitor and manage entry and exit points professionally, including checking IDs, verifying visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate digital or written sign-in logs.
- Emergency & Authority Liaison: Liaise with management, emergency services (Police, Ambulance, Fire) and relevant authorities when required to ensure swift, coordinated responses to site incidents.
- First Responder Duties:



Act quickly and calmly as a first responder to site emergencies, managing any safety hazards, physical property risks, or medical incidents by administering First Aid and CPR when required.
- Conflict De-escalation: Provide a visible, reassuring security presence while utilising robust communication skills to proactively defuse and de-escalate potential conflicts or crowd control issues.
- Site Compliance (WWCC): Maintain a safe and secure environment for all community members, ensuring strict compliance with local safety standards, especially when working on or around youth, school, or community facility sites.
- Reporting & Administration: Complete detailed, accurate daily shift logs and log any major security incidents via designated reporting channels before concluding your rostered shift.

Mandatory requirements:

- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Full working rights within Australia
