We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our Morley WA (Perth) store located in the newly redeveloped Galleria Shopping Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate retail leader who loves books, believes in the power of community, and thrives on creating meaningful customer connections. You will play a key role in building a vibrant local hub, curating inspiring experiences, fostering community engagement, and leading a team that brings the joy of books to life. The successful applicant will be required to work a 5-day roster, including one day on weekends.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all store operations and processes, allocating responsibilities to ensure efficient daily performance.

- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of passionate booksellers, including recruitment, training, performance management, and roster planning.

- Maintain exceptional standards across store presentation, visual merchandising, and customer service.





- Drive sales performance by motivating the team to achieve targets and deliver engaging customer experiences.

- Act as the point of escalation for customer feedback, enquiries, and complaints, resolving issues with professionalism and care.

- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with the organisation’s core values.

- Manage inventory levels, including stock receivals, transfers, and returns, to support sales and minimise loss.

- Ensure accurate completion of all administrative, financial, and reporting requirements.

- Plan and deliver instore promotional events, displays, and activations to drive engagement and foot traffic.

- Proven experience delivering exceptional sales performance and customer service.

- Strong understanding of retail management practices and store operations.

- A genuine passion for books and reading.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels.

- Highly developed time management, problem solving, and organisational skills.

- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience developing, engaging, and leading high-performing teams.

- Experience in stock management, including receipting, returns, and maintaining accurate inventory.

- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong focus on results and operational excellence.

- Exceptional visual merchandising and presentation skills.
