ERM is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Perth. Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of environmental, planning and regulatory approval documentation for a range of mining, energy, infrastructure and development projects.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of environmental impact assessments, approvals strategies and associated regulatory approvals.
- Undertake desktop research, data review and analysis to support project assessments and approvals documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality technical reports, management plans, submissions, permit applications and supporting documentation.
- Support engagement with clients, government agencies, technical specialists and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
- Monitor project progress and support project managers with scope, schedule, budget and risk management activities.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant environmental legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Participate in site visits, field investigations and client meetings as required.
- Support the management of project documentation, records and quality assurance processes in accordance with ERM procedures.
- Contribute to proposal preparation, business development activities and client relationship management initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in environmental consulting, government, mining, energy, infrastructure or a related field.
- Experience working with the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and/or Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and/or the Mining Act 1978.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
including the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake occasional travel, including regional and remote travel.
