The Role

This is a new-business-focused BDM position for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors and closing commercial contracts - big or small.

Your primary objective is simple: win new commercial cleaning contracts.

You'll manage the sales process from initial prospecting through to site meetings, proposals, negotiation and signed agreement.

You'll be targeting businesses and organisations across Melbourne including offices, industrial facilities, warehouses, medical and healthcare facilities, retail, education, strata, hospitality and other commercial sites.

This is not an account-management-heavy position. We are looking for someone who wants to hunt, build pipeline and close business .

What You'll Be Doing

- Identify and prospect new commercial cleaning opportunities across Melbourne
- Conduct outbound calls and other business development activity
- Build relationships with business owners, facility managers, property managers, operations managers and other decision‑makers




- Qualify prospective clients and identify their cleaning requirements
- Arrange and attend client meetings and site inspections & quotations
- Work with the Tradevero team to develop pricing and proposals
- Present proposals and negotiate commercial terms
- Follow up opportunities consistently through the sales cycle
- Convert qualified opportunities into signed commercial cleaning contracts
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and sales forecast
- Develop referral relationships and other sources of new business
- Meet quarterly current‑contract‑value targets

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a genuine new‑business salesperson rather than someone who has primarily managed existing accounts.

You’ll ideally have experience in B2B sales, business development or contract sales in commercial services or cleaning. Experience selling commercial cleaning, facilities management, security, waste, landscaping, maintenance or other recurring commercial services would be particularly valuable.

You should be comfortable prospecting from a cold start, speaking with senior decision‑makers, attending sites, handling objections and asking for the business.

Most importantly, you’ll be commercially minded, persistent and motivated by a commission structure that directly rewards the contracts you win.
