Our client is a respected global organisation with operations across multiple markets. Their Australian team works closely with manufacturers and industrial customers, providing specialist products and solutions across a range of sectors. Joining a small and collaborative local team, this role offers significant autonomy, exposure to diverse markets and the opportunity to play a key role in driving business growth across Australia and New Zealand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in the Industrial, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Chemicals or related industries to play a key role in growing the Australian business. Offering a blend of business development, account management and market analysis, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships and contribute to long-term business growth.

About the Role

As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing portfolio of customers. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse range of industries and work collaboratively to support strategic growth across the Australian market.

- Proactively identify and engage with potential customers through market outreach, prospecting and relationship development.
- Conduct market mapping and competitor research to identify industry trends, customer needs and current commercial opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for new products, services and market segments within Australia.
- Build an understanding of customer requirements and provide market intelligence to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers, industry partners and key stakeholders.




- Support the expansion of the organisation’s customer base and product offering.
- Provide feedback and insights to management regarding market developments, competitor activity and growth opportunities.
- Support sales planning, pricing strategies and broader business development initiatives.
- Stay informed on relevant industry trends, regulations and market changes.
- Support regulatory processes and licensing requirements to ensure compliance with Australian legislation.
- Undertake domestic travel as required to meet with customers and industry stakeholders.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A minimum of three years' experience in business development, sales or account management.
- Experience within one or more of the following industries:
- Wholesale or Industrial Trading
- Industrial Products / Manufacturing
- Chemicals
- Mining & Resources
- Healthcare
- Life Sciences

- A proactive and resilient approach with the ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities.
- A willingness and ability to undertake domestic travel as required.
