Project Manager – Structural Steel

Strangio Structural Steel is a well-established South Australian company specialising in the fabrication and installation of structural steel for residential and commercial projects. With a pipeline of upcoming work, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This position would be suited to an experienced construction tradesperson, site supervisor, leading hand, or structural steel professional looking to transition from a hands-on site-based role into a project management office-based environment. We are looking for someone who understands how construction projects operate in the field.

You will play a key role in delivering structural steel projects from award through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple structural steel projects

- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, drafting, and site personnel.

- Monitor and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

- Monitor project performance and provide regular progress,



variations and financial reporting.

- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and project specifications.

- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimise delays and cost impacts.

- Oversee subcontractors.

About You

- Experience as a Project Manager within structural steel, construction, or relevant experience.

- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.

- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience using project management and scheduling software.

- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related trade qualificationsfield.
