Geelong

Help take world-class Australian engineering to the world

Some marketers inherit a well-worn playbook.

This is not that job.

Conflux Technology is looking for a commercially minded, creatively curious and genuinely hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to help turn extraordinary engineering into new conversations, qualified opportunities and global growth.

Conflux designs and manufactures advanced heat exchangers using additive manufacturing. In simpler terms, its engineers create compact, lightweight and incredibly high-performing thermal solutions for some of the most technically demanding industries in the world.

Aerospace. Defence. Data Centers. High-performance automotive. Motorsport. Advanced industry.

These are not products people impulse-buy after seeing an Instagram Reel.

The sales cycles are complex, the audiences are highly technical and the opportunities can be significant. Great marketing at Conflux means understanding what makes the technology remarkable, finding the people and organisations who need it, and giving them a compelling reason to start a conversation.

That is where you come in.

About the opportunity

You will join Conflux as part of a two-person internal marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing and supported by external specialists, including PR, graphic design and 3D animation.

You will work closely with a global commercial team across the UK, US and Japan, as well as our Product Lead, engineers, technical experts and executive team.

Your focus will be growth.

You will plan and run campaigns that reach clearly defined customer segments, generate new leads, support global sales activity and help turn technical credibility into commercial opportunity.

You will work across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, email, social media, landing pages, events, sales enablement and marketing automation, using platforms such as Salesforce, Account Engagement/Pardot, Apollo and GA4 to understand what is working and improve what is not.

You will also bring a practical, current understanding of AI. Not in a vague “I’ve played with ChatGPT once” way. We are looking for someone already using AI tools to work smarter, test ideas, create content, improve workflows and make marketing more effective.

You will be curious about what is changing, willing to experiment and able to apply AI without removing the judgement, creativity and quality control good marketing still needs.

You will also be close enough to the creative work to bring ideas to life yourself.

That might mean creating an advertisement in Canva or Photoshop, editing a short video in InShot, building a landing page, shaping a technical story, developing a sales presentation or briefing an external specialist when the work needs a more expert pair of hands.

You do not need to be a full-time graphic designer, filmmaker, engineer, data scientist and copywriter rolled into one suspiciously well-rested human.

You do need creative judgement, confidence with digital tools and a willingness to have a go.

Why Conflux?

Conflux is a global heat exchange technology company headquartered in Waurn Ponds, Geelong.

Its technology began in the high-performance world of Formula One engineering and is now being applied across aerospace, defence, automotive, space and industrial markets.

The business manages the engineering journey from thermal design and simulation through to additive manufacturing, post-processing, testing and validation. Its customers and collaborators include organisations operating at the forefront of aviation, mobility, advanced manufacturing and next-generation propulsion.

Conflux has expanded internationally and now works across Australia, Europe, the United States and Japan. It is AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified and holds AUKUS Authorised User status.

This is an opportunity to market technology that is real, complex and genuinely different.

You will not be trying to manufacture excitement around a minor software update or finding seventeen new ways to say “industry-leading”.

The story is already there.

Your job is to find the right audience, bring that story to life and help turn attention into opportunity.

What you will be doing

No two campaigns will look exactly the same, but your responsibilities will include:

- Planning and delivering lead generation campaigns across priority industries, regions and customer segments
- Managing paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and paid social
- Developing campaign audiences, messaging, creative concepts, landing pages and conversion journeys
- Creating digital advertisements, graphics, social content, presentations and short-form video using tools such as Canva, Photoshop and InShot
- Using GA4 and campaign reporting to understand performance, conversion and lead quality
- Using AI tools to support campaign planning, audience research, content development, creative ideation, reporting and workflow improvement
- Staying up to date with emerging AI capabilities and identifying practical ways they can improve marketing quality, speed and effectiveness
- Testing new AI-enabled tools and workflows while maintaining strong human judgement, accuracy and brand control
- Working with the global sales team to turn commercial priorities and target accounts into coordinated marketing activity
- Creating sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, email sequences and product content
- Working with engineers and technical experts to translate complex information into clear, commercially relevant stories

- Tracking marketing contribution to leads, qualified opportunities and commercial pipeline
- Testing new ideas, learning from campaign results and continuously improving how marketing operates

What we are looking for

This role will suit someone who can think strategically without losing the ability or willingness to execute.

You might currently work in B2B technology, advanced manufacturing, engineering, professional services, SaaS or another environment where the product is complex, the sales cycle is considered and the buyer needs more than a catchy headline before making a decision.

You will ideally bring:

- Experience in a hands-on B2B marketing, growth or demand generation role
- A track record of planning and delivering lead generation campaigns
- Strong experience using paid digital channels such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads or similar platforms
- Confidence using GA4 and campaign data to evaluate and optimise performance
- Practical creative capability using Canva, Photoshop, InShot or similar tools
- Experience creating digital content, advertisements, graphics, video or campaign assets
- Experience supporting sales teams with presentations, content, email sequences and other enablement materials
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation and outbound tools
- Active, hands‑on use of AI tools in your marketing work, with the ability to explain where they help, where they do not and how you apply judgement
- Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and a willingness to test new tools, prompts and workflows
- The ability to understand technical information and turn it into content buyers can actually understand and care about
- Solid written communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills

- The ability to manage several moving pieces without needing a cast of thousands around you
- Curiosity, initiative and the confidence to test an idea rather than waiting for the perfect conditions

Experience with Salesforce, Account Engagement/Pardot and Apollo would be highly regarded.

Experience in engineering, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defence, automotive or another technical industry would also be valuable, but it is not the only way to demonstrate you can succeed in this role.

We care more about what you have built, created, improved and contributed to than whether your previous job title was an exact match.

The team

You will report to the Head of Marketing and form part of a two-person internal marketing team.

The role currently has no direct reports, although there may be an opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibility as Conflux and the marketing function continue to scale.

You will be supported by external specialists across PR, graphic design and 3D animation. An established network of talented creative or digital partners would be welcomed, but strong judgement about when to create, when to brief and when to bring in specialist support matters most.

How success will be measured

Your success will not be judged by how busy the marketing calendar looks.

It will be measured through outcomes such as:

- New leads generated across priority markets
- Qualified commercial opportunities created or influenced by marketing
- Marketing contribution to pipeline
- Campaign engagement and conversion
- Performance of paid digital channels
- Quality and adoption of sales enablement materials
- Effectiveness of lead capture, management, nurture and reporting
- Timely delivery of solid campaign and creative work
- Productive collaboration with sales, product, engineering and executive stakeholders
- Evidence that campaigns are improving through testing, learning and informed decision-making

A note on hybrid working

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Waurn Ponds.

You will generally work from the office two to three days per week, with flexibility around which days you attend depending on campaigns, meetings and onsite marketing activity.

This is not a fully remote role. Being present matters when you are learning the technology, capturing stories, creating content and working with the people behind the product.

Conflux works across international markets, and the global sales team is spread across the United Kingdom, United States and Japan. You will need some flexibility to attend fortnightly meetings outside standard Australian business hours.

This will not mean permanently reorganising your life around every time zone on earth. It does mean being comfortable with the occasional early or later meeting when global collaboration requires it.

The perks

Conflux offers:

- Paid parental leave
- Bonus scheme
- Paid study leave and support, where relevant
- Structured career planning and development conversations
- Performance review and salary review processes
- Development support and on-the-job training
- Regular social connection, including quarterly activities, end of financial year celebrations and Christmas events
- Free onsite parking
- Salary packaging options
- Professional affiliation with Deakin University

Interested?

We are not looking for someone who has skimmed the title, spotted “hybrid” and fired off the same application they sent to twelve other businesses this morning.

We are looking for someone who has read this and thought:

“I know how to make complex things interesting.”

“I like owning the work, not simply passing it along.”

“And yes, I would genuinely enjoy marketing technology originally shaped by Formula One engineering.”

We are excited to meet the person who will help turn Conflux’s engineering capability into stronger stories, better campaigns and new commercial opportunities around the world.
