We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Morwell, Victoria.

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming workplace for all community members, Elders, staff, and visitors to our Medical Clinic. Operating within a culturally safe framework, this role balances traditional protective services—such as asset protection, accesscontrol, and incident management with proactive community engagement. The position plays a vital role in upholding Ramahyuck’s values by utilising culturally appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques to support a peaceful, respectful, and inclusive space for the localcommunity.

Responsibilities:

- Cultural Safety: Maintain a welcoming, culturally safe, and respectful environment forcommunity members, Elders, and visitors.




- Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with local community members utilizingservices at the corporation.
- Access Control: Monitor entry points to ensure safety while maintaining an approachable, non-intimidating presence.
- De-escalation: Use culturally appropriate communication and conflict resolution strategies to defuse tense situations.
- Site Protection: Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds to secure assetsand report maintenance hazards.
- Incident Reporting: Complete detailed shift logs and report incidents.

Qualifications:

- Victorian Private Security Licence issued via Victoria Police
