About the Role

We are seeking a Specialist Cleaner – Technical Services to deliver high‑quality cleaning, floor maintenance, and periodic works across a variety of client sites. This role is highly technical and requires strong knowledge of cleaning equipment, machinery compliance, and workplace safety.

As part of the Technical Services team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Customer Services Managers (CSMs), mentoring cleaners on machinery use, and showcasing technical expertise that contributes to business growth. Evening and shift work, along with periodic projects, form a key part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Specialist Cleaning

- Carry out periodic and project‑based cleans, including carpets, tiles, hard floors, and detailed cleaning.
- Apply correct methods, chemicals, and machinery to deliver safe, high‑quality results.

Technical Services





- Operate and maintain specialist equipment including the InstaFlow Compact High‑Volume ECA Technology (primary responsibility), carpet extractors, polishers, and scrubbers.
- Conduct Test & Tag on cleaning machinery and ensure compliance.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment faults.

Worksite Safety & Compliance

- Set up and remove safety signage, barricades, and wet floor indicators.
- Ensure all work areas are safe for staff, clients, and the public.
- Promote safe work practices and uphold WHS/OHS requirements.

Leadership & Support

- Support CSMs with scheduled and ad hoc works.
- Mentor cleaners in safe machinery use and professional standards.
- Act as a senior contact on‑site when required.

Training & Development

- Lead rollout of Geneon machine and other specialist equipment training.
- Coach cleaning staff in best‑practice methods and compliance.
- Foster a positive culture of safety and accountability.

Business Support

- Showcase technical cleaning expertise in client demonstrations.
- Contribute technical knowledge to tenders, proposals, and presentations.
- Build strong client relationships through quality service delivery.

Key Requirements

- Experience in specialist cleaning (carpets, tiles, and hard floors).
- Strong technical knowledge of cleaning equipment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Understanding of Test & Tag compliance and safe machinery use.
- Ability to set up safe work environments with correct signage and barriers.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to mentor others.
- Attention to detail with a focus on client service standards.
- Commitment to WHS/OHS compliance.

Desirable

- Certificate III in Cleaning Operations (or equivalent).
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in client‑facing demonstrations or technical service presentations.
