What you’ll do

- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to support diagnostic processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare and process samples for testing, adhering to strict safety and quality standards to maintain the integrity of specimens.
- Document and report test results in a timely manner, utilizing laboratory information systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide insights that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs, contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory practices and procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and methodologies, integrating new techniques as appropriate to enhance service delivery.




- Assist in training and mentoring new laboratory staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem‑solving for any discrepancies in test results or equipment malfunctions, escalating issues as needed.
- Contribute to laboratory research initiatives, supporting the development of innovative diagnostic solutions and methodologies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance team communication and professional development.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with hands‑on experience in laboratory testing and analysis.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and various laboratory equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.




- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Nice to have

- Experience with molecular diagnostics or advanced laboratory techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory accreditation processes and standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing role within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation related to laboratory results.
- Bilingual abilities can enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
