Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Fire & Essential Services Technician to join our Melbourne team.
The Opportunity
This is a diverse and rewarding field-based role involving the inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection and essential safety systems in accordance with Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
We are interested in hearing from experienced fire industry professionals, as well as motivated individuals looking to enter the industry and learn a trade.
Experience in portable fire equipment, fire detection systems, emergency lighting, fire doors, passive fire protection, or essential safety measures will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment
- Servicing portable fire equipment including extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels
- Testing fire detection and alarm systems
- Conducting routine essential services maintenance in accordance with AS1851 and relevant standards
- Recording service results and completing compliance reports using digital systems
- Liaising professionally with clients on-site
- Working safely and following company and OH&S; procedures
You'll work across a wide range of buildings and facilities throughout Melbourne, with no two days being the same.

- Looking for a long-term career within the fire protection industry
Requirements
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Australian working rights
- Strong communication skills
- Experience within the fire protection, electrical, security, HVAC or building services industries (advantageous)
- Trade, technical or service-based background (advantageous)
- Experience testing fire systems or portable fire equipment (advantageous)
