Warrior Fabrication Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing team in Campbellfield.
You will be responsible for operating our 6kW Fibre Laser Cutting Machine , producing high-quality components for the caravan, transport and general fabrication industries.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in laser cutting who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while working safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 6kW fibre laser cutting machine safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload steel and aluminium sheets using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Set up cutting jobs according to drawings and production schedules.
- Monitor cutting quality and make minor parameter adjustments where required.
- Perform daily machine checks and preventative maintenance.
- Replace consumables such as nozzles and lenses when required.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Sort, label and prepare parts for the next manufacturing process.
- Record production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
- Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organised.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report machine faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience operating a fibre laser cutting machine .
- Experience using nesting software such as Metalix.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Understanding of laser cutting parameters, nozzle selection and assist gases (Air, Oxygen and Nitrogen).
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- High attention to detail.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
