About the role

Following the robust response to the first phase of our recruitment campaign, we are excited to continue growing Austin Health's OVA Education and Training team.

As an OVA Education and Training Specialist, you will design,deliverand evaluate high-quality, evidence-informed education programs that build workforce capability in the early recognition,preventionand management of OVA. Working within a newly established team, you will have the opportunity to influence practice, strengthen organisationalcapabilityand contribute to safer outcomes for staff,patientsand consumers.

A regular day will see you:

Deliver and evaluateorganisation-wide training to prevent and manage OVA.

Design engaging, evidence-informed education programs across clinical and non-clinical teams.

Build workforce capability in early intervention,de-escalationand safe response tobehavioursof concern.

Collaborate with stakeholders to implement consistent,



best practice learning strategies across theorganisation.

Contribute to safer workplaces by strengthening systems, reducingriskand driving continuous improvement.

About you

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence.You’llbring energy and drive to your workand have a keen interest in developing your skill set.

To be successful in this roleyou’llbring with you:

Relevant professional qualification in a health-related discipline (e.g. Registered Nurse, Registered PsychiatricNurseand Allied Health, and registered with the relevant governing body without restriction).

Extensive experience designing and delivering adult education and workforce training in healthcare environments.

Strong clinical knowledge in recognising,preventingand managing occupational violence and behaviours of concern or distress.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training across multiple formats, including face-to-face and online.

Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively and support change.
